How Krahaso works
Krahaso compares the prices of over 271.000 products from 44 online shops in Kosovo. The site sells nothing itself: for every product it shows the shop prices, the price history and the link to the shop.
Where the prices come from
Prices are read automatically from the public shop pages. Every shop is checked at least twice a day, grocery shops every six hours. Products with a price alert or on wishlists are checked hourly.
How a discount is calculated
A discount is only shown against the reference price: the median of the prices we saw ourselves in the last 90 days, or the median of the other shops for the same product. The old price stated by the shop is not used. Prices that look like an error (below 5 percent of the reference) are marked as unconfirmed and stay out of the deals.
How products are linked
We recognise the same product across shops by EAN, by model number and brand, or by name when the match is certain. Uncertain cases are reviewed by a person before they are merged.
How often it updates
Prices are updated daily. The price history is stored for every offer and stays visible even when a product is no longer available.
How Krahaso is funded
Krahaso is free for users. With some shops there are partner agreements under which Krahaso earns a commission when you buy through the link. This does not affect the order: offers are sorted by price.
